Potato Processing Line – From Whole Potato to Finished Snack

This line is designed for snack food factories, fast food supply chains, and frozen fry producers. Key steps include washing/peeling, cutting, blanching, frying/baking, seasoning, and packaging.

Washing & Peeling: A brush roller washer removes skin by friction while rinsing with water. It is highly efficient and water-saving.

Cutting: A french fry cutter uses wave or straight blades to produce uniform strips. For chips, a rotary slicer offers adjustable thickness (1.5–3mm). Cut potatoes go immediately into a blancher to inactivate enzymes and prevent browning.

Frying or Baking: A continuous fryer features oil-water separation and an automatic filter. For healthier options, a hot air baking line reduces oil usage by 80%.

Finishing: A centrifuge deoiler removes excess oil, a seasoning drum applies powder evenly, and a vacuum or nitrogen-flush packager seals the product.

A small to medium line (3–5 tons/day) costs $20,000–$60,000, suitable for regional snack brands.
